The first block of Sylhet’s MC College has been given a new identity. The first block of the college dormitory has officially been renamed “Shaheed Osman Hadi Hall.”
The announcement was made on Saturday (3 January 2026) after Asr prayers, following a brief doa mahfil seeking eternal peace for Shaheed Osman Hadi. After the prayers, students formally declared the new name of the block.
Senior students of the dormitory—including Mahmudul Hasan, Md. Raju Khan, Suhel Ahmed, Sizan, Suhag, Jaber, along with many others—were present at the naming ceremony. As part of the event, students distributed muri and batasha in remembrance of Osman Hadi’s ideals and his dream of building a better Bangladesh.
